TK-WQS Fixed Water Quality Monitoring Station
The station has one job: show the trend before oxygen runs out, rather than counting dead shrimp at sunrise. A fluorescence DO probe needs no membrane and no electrolyte, so it can stay submerged and keep producing data month after month. That is what decides whether a station is still in use a year later.
Choose probes for the pond
The system is a terminal plus probes, configured to the site: for oxygen risk alone, a terminal and one DO probe; for water body stability, add pH and ORP; for brackish shrimp ponds that need salinity, switch to one five-parameter probe that measures everything in a single dip.
| Configuration | Contents | For |
|---|---|---|
| Basic TK-WQS-A | TK-DT430 ×1 + TK-DO100 ×1 | Freshwater ponds, guarding the oxygen line |
| Standard TK-WQS-B | DT430 + DO100 + PH100 + ORP100 | Watching stability and organic load |
| Full TK-WQS-C | DT430 ×1 + TK-MP500 ×1 | Brackish shrimp ponds, hatcheries, crab ponds |
Configurations upgrade without replacing the terminal: A becomes B by adding probes, B becomes C by swapping to the all-in-one probe. Every part has its own model number and can be ordered and replaced individually, so one failed probe never means a new station.

Why fluorescence for DO
A dye at the probe tip is excited by blue light and emits red; oxygen in the water quenches that emission, so more oxygen means weaker light. Measuring the phase shift and intensity gives the DO concentration without consuming oxygen or needing electrolyte, so the probe can stay submerged and measure continuously. Galvanic and polarographic cells need membrane changes, electrolyte refills and re-polarisation — hard to sustain at a pond for months, which is why fluorescence wins in aquaculture.
Installing and using it
- The terminal goes in an IP65 rainproof box and can stand outdoors; probes sit at the culture depth, clear of feeding points and the strong flow from aerators.
- Read the screen at the pond, watch the curve on the phone — two paths, each a backup for the other. With 4G down, local display and alarms keep working.
- Data feeds the Kantangren 4G controller and cloud platform for closed-loop aeration.
- A small quantity of calibration solution ships with the station (pH 4.00/6.86/9.18, ORP 468 mV); order more when it runs out.
FAQ
- What is included in the station?
- A TK-DT430 data terminal plus probes, configured to the site: basic is terminal + DO, standard adds pH and ORP, full uses one five-parameter probe. Every part has its own model number and can be ordered and replaced separately.
- How long are the probe cables?
- DO, pH and ORP all ship with 30 m as standard; longer or shorter lengths can be made to order with one week's notice. The ORP probe uses a waterproof aviation connector.
- What is the ORP accuracy exactly?
- ±4 mV. That is the complete-unit figure, including reference drift and liquid junction potential. Higher numbers on other datasheets are electrical resolution, not reproducible accuracy. ORP is not compensated for measurement temperature; calibration is single-point at 25 °C with 468 mV solution.
- Why does the DO probe carry 2 years and pH / ORP only 1?
- Fluorescence has no membrane and no electrolyte, so there is less to fail. pH and ORP are electrochemical electrodes whose glass bulb and junction are consumables. Every warranty period is stated per item in the specification table rather than bundled.
- Does the export version include a SIM and data?
- No. The export version ships without a card or data plan; customers buy a local IoT card (Viettel / Vinaphone / Mobifone). Only the domestic version includes a Chinese card with three years of data.
- Do I need a separate power adapter?
- Yes. The terminal takes DC 6–36 V. Because plugs and voltages differ, the export version leaves the AC 220 V to DC 12 V adapter (≥1 A) to the customer; the domestic version can supply one.
