What are the placement and installation rules?
These rules come from the sensor installation guide and the field troubleshooting handbook; they are the checks used before a pond is handed over.
| Rule | Why / what to look for | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Keep clear of aerator turbulence | Bubbles on the probe distort the reading | Install at least 3 m from the aerator |
| Avoid feeding zones | Feed and waste disturb the local oxygen reading | Choose a representative point away from feeding |
| One monitoring point per pond | Large ponds need zone points by aerator group | Add zone points for large or irregular ponds |
| Mounting options | Float bracket (recommended), fixed bracket, or buoy | Select by pond depth and bank structure |
| Mounting angle and direction | Follow the recommended angle and orientation in the installation guide | Check the guide before fixing the bracket |
| Underwater cable protection | Protect the submerged section against abrasion and strain | Route and secure the cable before commissioning |
| Cable from water surface to cabinet | Protect the above-water run and allow a drip loop | Use conduit where the cable crosses the bank |
| Multiple sensors | Connect probes on one RS-485 bus with unique addresses | See the RS-485 wiring checks |

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to register or leave an email to use these guides?
No. All troubleshooting and commissioning guides on this site are open pages with no form and no email gate. The full product datasheets are also open on the downloads page.
Do these pages publish spare-part prices or service fees?
No. These pages publish technical checks, wiring rules and procedures only. For spare parts, service terms or a quotation, contact [email protected].
Which mounting method is recommended?
The float bracket is the recommended option in the installation guide; a fixed bracket or buoy is used where pond depth or bank structure requires it.
Do I need one probe per pond?
At least one monitoring point per pond, with additional zone points by aerator group on large ponds. Check placement against pond shape and depth.
